Fair means you can still read the manual, but some pages are loose, torn or missing. Good means it still has all the pages, but may have one or more torn pages. Very good means it shows some sign of wear, but not torn anywhere. Fair means it does not hold together very well, and will be good enough just to protect the disc. Good means it may have one or more cracks, but still functions as a case. Very good means there is a sign of wear, but no major cracks. Pristine means case is not cracked or torn. Fair means it has definitely seen better days, but it has at least been tested and working. Good means it may have one or two visible scratches in addition to some scuff marks maybe, but it has been tested as working. Very good means there may be some very light scuff marks. Pristine means there is not a single scuff or scratch mark.
